When you are 11 and you wonder why you can converse with the neighbor ladies better than you can with their children you came to play with.... When you get a Thank You card in the mail from a person who called you on the crisis line the week before in such despair she was planning to kill herself and didn't because, somehow, the right words were there for you to say.... When you hear the phone ring in the hospital hallway and you KNOW it is your Dad calling to see how you are after you had given birth the day before.... When you talk to a person for a few minutes and can guess their Astrological Moon sign, and know it is because you are a Pisces that you picked up on the emotional moon sign rather than their Sun sign.... And, if you listen very carefully, you can hear their soul speaking.... When you ask the Universe for some clouds to enhance the sunset on a special night and you are gifted with them from a totally cloudless sky twenty minutes later.... When you meet a man and know right off he will be the father of the baby boy you will bear.... When you take one look at your 21 year old daughter as she walks away from you and you know she is pregnant before she does.... When you pick up your first deck of Tarot cards and the symbols speak to you immediately.... When you meditate for the first time and the palms of your hands heat up and you just know you are suppose to send the heat somewhere.... When you kick your heels off and go to the floor to dance and return to find a strange man sitting in your seat who turns out to have a birthday 3 days before yours and he becomes your first massage teacher and mentor.... When you begin to believe there are no accidents in this world and every experience you have had and every person you meet brings you closer to your life's Truth and Purpose.... Then you discover what you came in, in this lifetime, to share. Although growing up a little weird is not easy, really, what are the options? So I turned out to be a Counselor, a Healer, a Story Teller, and an Intuitive. I have been a student of Psychology, Theatre, Psychodrama, and Communication with a Bachelor's and Master's Degree. I am a graduate of the California School of Massage and am a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals. Also, I am a Reiki Master, and do Psychic Clearings. My work, stretching over the past 35 years, has been in the areas of Substance Abuse Counseling/Education, Bodywork/Massage Therapy, and Body Awareness Counseling. The Layers of Grace Empowerment Workshop is my baby, designed to help women of all ages and sizes become more lovingly aware of their bodies.  They are the casings for our souls, after all!
